How Realmkit uses AI
Realmkit never generates content for you. It does not invent characters, places, plots or art, and it never writes your story. Everything in your campaign comes from what you write.
Where AI helps
- Importing your notes. Realmkit reads your notes to tell what each page is about (a session, a character, a place, an encounter), writes a short description for each new page from what your notes say about it, finds the names your notes mention and suggests links between them. Your original notes are kept word for word. If you ask for it, it also translates them.
- Reviewing a session plan. When you press Review, Realmkit reads your plan against your campaign and suggests who is new, what changes and what may contradict earlier sessions.
- Scanned PDFs. It reads the text of scanned pages.
You decide
Every suggestion waits for you. Nothing is added to your campaign until you keep it, an import can be undone, and you can edit or delete anything Realmkit wrote.
What AI never does in Realmkit
It never makes images, never writes plots, characters or dialogue for you, never changes your campaign on its own and never posts or shares anything.
Your data
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own use. When you use an AI feature, the text it needs is sent to our AI provider, OpenAI, only to carry out that request. OpenAI does not use data sent through its API to train its models, and deletes it after at most 30 days, during which it is kept only to detect abuse (OpenAI's terms). We never use your campaigns to train any AI model.
Without AI
Writing, pages and links, maps, the battle map, search, the rules reference, campaign export and restoring a campaign from a file all work without AI. Names from your campaign are spotted while you write without any AI either.
Changes
If the way Realmkit uses AI changes, we update this page first.
